Thermarest NeoAir Sleep Is it worth the money? I am such a bargain shopper and that was a question I had been asking myself. For almost 2 years I had been using the Therm-a-Rest Z-Lite size small and it has worked out great. At only 10oz., a breeze to fold, and priced under $30 the Z-Lite was a easy choice and came along on every camping trip. Over the past year I have been making purchases trying to not only lighten my backpack but to also be able to carry a smaller/ compact pack for the simple overnight trips. Read the Full Story

Ultralight Hammock by Grand Trunk A hammock may be the lightest and most comfortable sleeping aid in a backpack.  Wether I am on a day hike or overnight camping trips the Grand Trunk Ultralight Hammock has became a staple in my bag.  This hammock packed down in it's attached bag to just larger than a soft ball and weights in at 12oz.  As you sit down on it and hear the lines tighten you wonder how the tin nylon will hold up.  In fact Grand Trunk has detailed that it will hold up to 250lbs. Welcome to Behiking.com. It has taken longer than expected to finally learn how to build my own website to share my adventures. I may have been away from posting videos but I have not been away from the trail. I have been busy testing products, improving my bushcraft, and practicing camera angles to make enjoyable videos.

Day Hike with Dakota

An addition to the Be Hiking is my dog Dakota who has proven to be quite the protector. On her first overnight camp on the trail I was charged by a wild boar a she was quick to get in front of me and stopped the hog from getting any closer. Dakota is a Dutch Shepherd mix who loves to chase lizards. She is my best friend and a great example of a wonderful dog who has came from a local SPCA. Get to know her more at her Facebook page linked at the bottom.

Here are a few of my expectations with the site:

  • Publish captured video of Wildlife and share my experiences in the outdoors.
  • Create review videos of outdoor gear to give viewers detailed data and tested opinions to help make purchasing decisions.
  • Video blog "how to's" on camping and hiking, giving tips for all levels of enthusiast.

I will be splitting these videos between 2 channels on youtube to eliminate boring subscribers. BeeHiking will be geared toward gear reviews and how to's. BeHiking is host videos clips of wildlife and my new 3D videos to get the most realistic feeling of being there on the trail. I welcome you to subscribe to both.
